The fun started with the girls spending the night at our house the night before....I'm not sure how much sleep they actually got. Regardless, the trip started bright and early at 6 o'clock in the morning with the drive down south.

The girls were very excited to spend this time together. Early in the hike they crossed the Paluxy River. This would be one of two crosses. The first cross was easy and the girl were able to stay on top of rocks to get to the other side. Last year the river was up to Brian's waist, so it was a lot lower this year.

The hike was moderately difficult with a hilly semi-rocky terrain. The girls didn't have any problems navigating their way. Must be all the great conditioning Coach Brian made them do during basketball season.

At the second crossing of the river the girls enjoying splashing around and exploring the waters. There was a $5 bet going on how many times Kaylee would fall in the water. Good thing for Kaylee she has great balance and didn't fall once, so they pushed her in.

Of course of the best reason to visit Dinosaur Valley State Park is to see the Dinosaur tracks in the riverbed. This park as some of the best preserved dinosaur tracks in the world. The girls had a blast and we look forward to another great year with these sisters and many more to come.
